The town was surprisingly lively and LOVELY, with more to see and enjoy than we anticipated. The cream tea we had at a forties-inspired cafe was jaw-droppingly delicious. The area itself was spectacular, with coastal views within easy reach and a short journey to Durham. The locals were kind, friendly, and welcoming, and our host Kevin went above and beyond with a warm greeting, valuable information. We can't recommend this place highly enough and would love to return.
